Daily Routine : Each morning, our guests are placed into the recreation areas on a rotating basis, so their suites can be cleaned. Morning breakfasts are served, along with any medications required by guests. We keep guests calm after breakfast to avoid issues from excessive activity following a meal and can monitor slow or fussy eaters. Guests then enjoy rotating exercise sessions with staff, playing ball or relaxing in the grassed play area, while we perform health checks. Afternoon meals and medications follow, and guests receive evening exercise before bedtime.
Each morning, following breakfast and the initial activities, we conduct thorough grooming and health checks for your dog. Our staff diligently notes any abnormalities, changes in stool consistency, dietary preferences, or behaviour. The health checks include a careful examination of the ears, eyes, coat, and skin condition, ensuring your pet remains in optimal health.
Play Time : We believe our guests are happiest with ample playtime in our grassed recreation areas. Each day, all guests in the Main Lodge enjoy several play sessions, which our staff also love. Other accommodation areas have access to grass yards all day.
Diet : At Lyndhurst Lodge Pet Resort, we prioritise a quality diet during your pet’s stay. We serve Royal Canin premium dry food alongside Prime 100 chicken, rice, and vegetable loaf. If needed, we have alternative options. For specific dietary requirements, please bring clearly labelled food. We can accommodate your pet on their own medical diets as required – please ensure any supplied food is clearly labelled.
Medications : Please ensure any medications or food supplements are clearly labelled with your pet’s name and the required dosage and are sufficient to cover their stay with us. A surcharge does apply for administering medication. Please note that medications can only be administered between the hours of 7am and 5pm.
Vaccinations : All guests must be fully immunised and provide proof of a current C5 vaccination certificate. Vaccinations must be administered at least two weeks before check-in.
Note that some veterinarians use a live virus, which means the dog will get a mild version of canine cough. This still results in the dog being highly contagious and can shed canine cough cells for up to 10 days without displaying any symptoms. For the welfare of our other guests boarding, we cannot accept dogs who have been immunised within two weeks of their check in date.
Canine Cough : While your dog is vaccinated against Canine Cough, total immunity is not guaranteed. Despite our spotless environment and fully vaccinated guests, the airborne virus can still spread, especially during certain times of the year. We disinfect twice daily, but the risk remains.
Bedding : Lyndhurst Lodge Pet Resort provides all beds and bedding.
Veterinary Attention : Should your pet require veterinary attention; we have a 24-hour vet on call. We prioritize your pet’s health and will notify you or your emergency contact promptly. Ensure we have up-to-date contact details.
Parasites : To avoid ‘hitch hikers,’ we require all guests to be treated with flea and broad-spectrum worm treatments.
